Film Louisiana launches new brand, reinforces position in the film sector

Baton Rouge, LA – Film Louisiana, the association advocating for film and television production in Louisiana, proudly announces a comprehensive rebranding initiative. This strategic move underscores Film Louisiana’s commitment to fostering a vibrant and thriving film entertainment industry in the state.

Film Louisiana, formerly Louisiana Film & Entertainment Association, is at the forefront of promoting the diverse film industry in Louisiana. As the state's official film commission, Film Louisiana provides a wide range of services to filmmakers, including location scouting, permitting assistance and connecting with local talent and resources. With a commitment to fostering growth and creativity, Film Louisiana has successfully attracted numerous high-profile productions, bolstering the state's reputation as a premier destination for film and television projects, while adding tremendous value to the state’s tourism.

The organization's dedication extends beyond production support. Film Louisiana actively advocates for economic incentives, working to ensure that Louisiana remains competitive in the global film market. Film Louisiana remains dedicated to nurturing local talent and supporting the next generation of filmmakers. The association’s Entertainment Development Fund (EDF) reinvests in educational and workforce training opportunities for Louisiana residents. Their efforts have led to significant economic impact, creating jobs and stimulating local businesses.

Louisiana’s robust Film Program, introduced in the early 2000s, offers unparalleled financial incentives that cover a broad spectrum of production costs from equipment rentals to cast and crew salaries. This program, combined with Louisiana’s state-of-the-art facilities, skilled workforce and diverse scenic options, makes Louisiana an irresistible choice for filmmakers.

The new brand identity of Film Louisiana reflects a dynamic and forward-thinking approach. As part of the rebranding, the association has unveiled a modernized logo and an updated website designed to enhance user experience and provide comprehensive resources for filmmakers. This rebranding aligns with Film Louisiana’s mission to support and promote the state’s film industry through innovative strategies and partnerships.

“As Film Louisiana embarks on this new chapter, we remain steadfast in our mission to champion the state’s film industry,” said Film Louisiana Board President Jason Waggenspack. “The association’s efforts continue to attract major productions, drive economic growth and highlight Louisiana’s unique culture and hospitality. With the rebranding, Film Louisiana is poised to build on its legacy of success and lead the industry into the future.”
