Louisiana Policy Institute for Children Announces 2019-2020 Board of Directors
NEW ORLEANS, LA (December 16, 2019) — The Louisiana Policy Institute for Children (LPIC) is proud to announce its 2019-2020 Board of Directors. The role of the Board is to govern, establish policy and make strategic decisions about the future of the organization. LPIC’s mission is to advance policies to ensure Louisiana’s young children are ready for success in school and life.
“This year’s Board is a richly diverse group of individuals that draws from many professional sectors across Louisiana, all with a vested interest in ensuring that all of our state’s young children, birth through age four, are safe, healthy, and reach their full potential,” says LPIC Executive Director Libbie Sonnier-Netto, Ph.D., who was appointed to lead the organization this past April.
Gwen Hamilton, president & owner of GPH Consulting, LLC, will serve as president; Dionne Rosseau, partner at Jones Walker LLP, will serve as vice president; Drew Chapman, CPA, manager at Ericksen Krentel, CPA’s and Consultants, will serve as treasurer; Julie Morial, M.D., chief medical officer at United Health Community and State of Louisiana will serve as secretary; and Jim Brandt, president and owner of Brandt & Associates will serve as immediate past president.
New members of the 2019 – 2020 Board include Sonjia Brown-Joseph, co-owner and executive director of Ciara’s Little Lambs & JOWASH, LLC; Elizabeth Guglielmo Picard, of counsel at Voorhies and Labbe; Deborah Randolph, president of Central Louisiana Chamber of Commerce; Allen Richey, vice president of corporate strategy and business development at CenturyLink; Lizette Terral, managing director and market executive at J.P. Morgan Chase Bank; Nicholas Tomlinson, senior counsel – benefits at Entergy Services, LLC; Jonald J. Walker III, managing principal at J. Walker & Company, APC; Mary Leach Werner, director and vice president at The North American Land Company, LLC; and Luis C. Zervigon, executive vice president of operations at Crescent Capital Consulting, LLC. Additionally, returning members of the 2019 – 2020 Board include Jim Clinton, president and chief executive officer of the Central Louisiana Economic Development Alliance; Vince Jackson, vice president at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana; Michael Oliver, CEcD, FM, chief executive officer of Louisiana Committee of 100; and Phillip Rozeman, M.D., co-founder of Cardiovascular Consultants.
