Gambel Communications Promotes Emily Dowsett to Senior Communications Strategist
NEW ORLEANS (April 14, 2021) – New Orleans-based public relations firm Gambel Communications announces that Emily Dowsett has been promoted to senior communications strategist, effective immediately.
Dowsett joined Gambel Communications in 2020 and most recently held the position of communications strategist. As senior communications strategist, Dowsett handles media relations, social media, special events and community relations for her clients as well as agency management. Currently, Dowsett leads a variety of accounts including Louisiana Policy Institute for Children, The Historic New Orleans Collection, New Orleans Women & Children’s Shelter and Access Health Louisiana.

A graduate of West Virginia University, Dowsett received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies. Although relatively new to Greater New Orleans, Dowsett has actively pursued civic engagement opportunities, including participating in the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute’s (NORLI) 2020-2021 leadership cohort, joining the Young Leadership Council and The National WWII Museum Young Benefactors, as well as completing the City of New Orleans Civic Leadership Academy.
