National Agency Lauds Lycée Français de la Nouvelle-Orleans Among Top New Orleans Schools
National school-matching agency ranks LFNO #3 in New Orleans
NEW ORLEANS – NICHE, the market leader in connecting colleges and schools with students and families, ranked Lycée Français de la Nouvelle-Orléans among the top three charter schools in New Orleans with an A overall.
LFNO earned its highest marks for its faculty and commitment to diversity. Its academics, college preparatory focus, resources and facilities contributed to the stellar ranking. Details and individual grades can be found here.
“We are excited to have this empirical measure of our commitment to excellence so soon after our six-year charter renewal last spring,” said Dr. Chase McLaurin, CEO of LFNO. “The French Accredited model at Lycée gives our students the best of both worlds—Louisiana’s educational curriculum and that of the world renown education system in France. Thanks to the nature of our state-issued charter, families from anywhere in Louisiana can choose Lycée.”
NICHE’s high marks for LFNO’s resources and facilities reflects the uptown buildings of the McNair Early Learning Center on Carrollton, the elementary campus on Patton and the Priestley Campus on Leonidas. The investment LFNO made in its $14.6 million renovation of the Priestley Campus earned the Excellence in Construction Award from Associated Builders and Contractors of Louisiana for the historic restoration and expansion of the building.
