Canal Place rings in the holidays with a full schedule of music, movies and merriment

Extended holiday hours start Black Friday, Nov. 24

 
 

NEW ORLEANS - O’ Conner Capital Partners, the owner and operator of Canal Place, the region’s premier luxury shopping destination, is pleased to announce its holiday hours along with a slate of holiday fun.

Canal Place will begin extended holiday hours Friday, Nov. 24 from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. For your holiday needs, Canal Place is open primarily 11 a.m.-7 p.m. throughout the season.  For holiday hour exceptions – please go to canalplacestyle.com.  The extended hours conclude New Years Day with stores opening at 9 a.m. and closing at 5 p.m.

Holiday festivities start with the annual Lighting of Canal Street at the entrance to Canal Place hosted by the Downtown Development District, Tuesday, Nov. 21 with the official lighting taking place at 5:30 p.m.

On select days during the holiday season, Canal Place will ring the sounds of the season with live entertainment. Classical and jazz trios and duos will perform Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4 p.m. Nov. 25 through Christmas Eve. Additional special performances will take place Tuesday, Nov. 21 from 3:30-6:30 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 24 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Partnering with schools across Greater New Orleans, lunchtime guests can enjoy choir performances on select dates:

Every Saturday at 10 a.m., Prytania Theaters at Canal Place will host Movies with Santa with a special showing of holiday movies. Tickets can be purchased at theprytania.com/canalplace for $10 each and include a movie, popcorn and soft drink.

The Westin New Orleans at Canal Place will host a Santa Brunch Saturday, Dec. 2 from 7 a.m.-1 p.m. with a buffet that includes sliced fruit, breakfast pastries and donuts, as well as hot breakfast items and a cookie decorating station.
