Gambel Communications CEO Amy Boyle Collins recognized for leadership in industry and community

Gambel Communications also receives top honors for its work by industry leading professional association

NEW ORLEANS – Thursday, Nov. 16, Gambel Communications CEO Amy Boyle Collins received two prestigious awards for exemplary contributions to the community, a Norman C. Francis Leadership Institute Alumni Award and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) New Orleans Lifetime Achievement Award.

At the 2023 Norman C. Francis Leadership Institute Gala and Benefit Concert, Collins was one of four alumni fellows honored for  leadership in advancing equitable communities.

"To say this was a proud moment is an understatement,” says Gambel Communication Founder Betsie Gambel. “The Norman C. Francis Leadership Institute recognized Amy’s overall values of inclusivity and justice as evidenced in part by her tackling tough issues to make each of us better stewards of change."

Simultaneously at PRSA’s annual Fleurish Awards, Collins was bestowed the organization’s Lifetime Achievement Award, a distinguished recognition reserved for top professionals who have exhibited extraordinary leadership and accomplishments in public relations for over a decade. Collins’ relentless commitment to the industry and exceptional leadership qualities have made a profound impact, marking her as a trailblazer within the field.

Gambel Communications sweeps the PRSA New Orleans Fleurish Awards.

In addition to her role at Gambel Communications, Collins and her husband, Sherwood, created the Beignet Fest Foundation and Beignet Fest in 2016. Through their journey with their son who is on the autism spectrum, the couple recognized a need to increase awareness and funding for programs to serve children with developmental differences. Beignet Fest has become a signature festival in New Orleans and has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support local advocacy, education and enrichment programs.

Gambel Communications, known for its commitment to excellence, also received 10 awards, including one of four Silver Anvils, at Thursday evening’s Fleurish Awards event, underscoring the public relations agency’s dedication to delivering outstanding results.
