Gambel Communications Names Melissa Hodgson Its Vice President
NEW ORLEANS — Gambel Communications, a premiere New Orleans-based public relations agency, has named Melissa Hodgson as vice president. The appointment is effective immediately.
With more than 20 years’ experience in management, strategic business communication and public relations, Melissa is a proven communication executive with decades of experience in a wide variety of industries. As Vice President, Melissa oversees development and delivery of best-in-class public relations services for the agency’s clients.
Prior to joining Gambel, Melissa led communication strategy for hospitals, insurance companies and organizations across a spectrum of industries including healthcare, insurance, economic development, hospitality, oil and gas. Most recently, Melissa directed communication strategy for St. Tammany Health System.

Melissa is accredited by both Public Relations Society of America (APR) and International Association of Business Communicators (ABC). The dual accreditation indicates her commitment to the rigorous national and international standards for senior communicators. She earned a bachelor’s degree in speech communication and public relations from the University of Alabama. Melissa has served on the St. Tammany Parish government transition team 2020, boards of the Chamber St. Tammany West, WST YMCA, Leadership St. Tammany and Three Rivers Art Festival.
