Dagostino Pasta Company to Streamline Operations through New Orleans East Facility

Centralized location will allow business to expand wholesale distribution, home delivery services

NEW ORLEANS (Aug. 3, 2021) – In an effort to bring high-quality, handmade air-dried pastas and small-batch sauces to a larger consumer base, Dagostino Pasta Company has announced its shifted focus towards wholesale distribution and home delivery. Starting this August, all operations will be consolidated under one roof in their New Orleans East location, creating efficiencies and streamlining operations to allow for additional growth.

“Expanding the geographic reach of Dagostino’s products has been an aspiration of our company, and we’re thrilled to bring our high-quality, authentic pastas and sauces to more consumers across the country,” said Vince Hayward, fourth-generation owner and CEO of L.H. Hayward & Company, Dagostino’s parent company. “After successfully operating our storefront and warehouse in Baton Rouge, we look forward to returning to New Orleans where the brand was originally established in 1926 as the Fresina Macaroni Manufacturing Company. The new location, which will provide additional space and opportunities, is a natural fit given the robust Sicilian history and culture of the city.”

Since New Orleans’ L.H. Hayward & Company acquired Dagostino in 2019, the nearly 100-year-old brand has seen substantial growth with the launch of its Amazon store and increase in e-commerce through the company’s website. The brand has expanded its local and regional offerings, and is now available at every Whole Foods Market and Fleurty Girl across Louisiana, along with other notable grocery stores and markets stretching across the Gulf Coast.

Dagostino Pasta Company uses old-world techniques to produce the finest, freshest artisan pasta. Dagostino’s pasta is made using pure Durum semolina wheat and is air-dried over rods in wooden cellars, just as it was done in Sicily for centuries. Celebrated for its delicate texture and classic flavor, the brand’s pasta is handmade, all-natural and preservative-free. Additionally, Dagostino creates one of the most authentic sauces available outside of Italy by using timeless family recipes. The sauces are made in small batches with a unique blend of fresh herbs and spices, resulting in a delicate texture and robust flavor.
